"ABAD" (Facilitated Support to Family Businesses) public legal entity run by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established following the Presidential Decree dated 23 September 2016. The main purpose of the organization is to carry out socially-oriented projects that aimed at ensuring the active participation of the citizens in the socio-economic life of the Republic of Azerbaijan, developing small and medium entrepreneurship, raising the employment rate of the population, and supporting the formation of competitive family businesses in the country. "ABAD" centers implement assistance projects for family businesses primarily engaged in arts and agriculture. Services such as business planning, provision of equipment, marketing, branding and design, financial accounting, legal assistance, and organization of the sales are included in the support program. The "ABAD" ethno-boutique in the Sharg Bazari also hosts regular exhibitions and sales of decorative and applied folk handicrafts by "ABAD" members and offers "ABAD"-supported family businesses' food products for sale.
